The following topics will be covered in this course: Basic statistics, simple comarative experiments, hypothesis testing, design of experiments and optimization, classification and clustering techniques, pattern recognition, principle component analysis (PCA), multivariate regression and calibration methods, genetic algorithms for variable selection and optimization methods.
